KITCHEN

Kitchen Porter

Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter and become an important part of our family-run restaurant.

Being family-run is at the heart of who we are. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone works together and looks out for one another.

This is a hands-on role in a busy and lively kitchen, where no two shifts are the same. The role will include a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts, so flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends is essential. You’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and supporting the chefs throughout service.

Duties

· Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service

· Keeping the kitchen, washing-up area and equipment clean and tidy

· Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation when required

· Ensuring clean equipment, crockery and utensils are available when needed

· Emptying bins and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen

· Helping with deliveries, stock movement and putting items away

· Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times

· Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient services

Experience

· Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential

· A hardworking, reliable and positive attitude is more important than previous experience

· Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

· Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene

· Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues

· Willingness to learn and take direction

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required

· Food hygiene experience is beneficial, but training will be provided

RESTAURANT

Front of House

Overview

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual to join our Front of House team and become an important part of our family-run restaurant.

Being family-run is at the heart of who we are. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, personal environment where our guests feel like part of the family. We are looking for someone who shares these values and takes pride in making every guest feel comfortable, valued and well looked after.

This is a hands-on role in a busy and lively restaurant, where no two shifts are the same. The role will include a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts, so flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends is essential. You will play an important part in creating memorable experiences, from warmly welcoming guests through to providing attentive service throughout their visit. In return, you'll become part of a supportive team where everyone works together and looks out for one another.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly on arrival and make them feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door
  • Provide friendly, attentive and personal service throughout every guest's visit
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements and waitlists efficiently
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams
  • Work behind the bar, preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Prepare and serve coffees, including espresso-based drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming restaurant and bar area
  • Process payments accurately using the POS system

Experience

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
  • A friendly, positive and approachable personality is more important than previous experience
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to interact with guests
  • A genuine desire to provide excellent service and make people feel welcome
  • Ability to remain calm, organised and attentive during busy services
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality industry
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required
  • Food safety and POS experience is beneficial, but training will be provided
