Ryder Cup DOUBLES TOURNAMENT | The Knights Club

Sunday 21st – Sunday 28th September

To celebrate the Ryder Cup, we’re hosting our first Open Tournament in the simulator on this year’s Ryder Cup course, Bethpage Black. Play with friends, compete on the leaderboard, and take home prizes including a 4Ball at Keighley Golf Club and a 3 Hour Simulator Session.

Entry Options

4 Players – Come with 3 friends for a 2v2 alternate-shot match. Both pairs post scores to the leaderboard with a chance of making the final.

Pairs – Can’t get a full fourball? Enter as a duo and we’ll place you on Team USA or Team Europe, with your score added to the leaderboard.

How to Win

  • Scores will be tracked on two leaderboards: USA and Europe.

  • The top-scoring group from both USA & EUROPE leaderboards will qualify for the Match Play Final.

  • In the event of ties, standard tie-break rules will apply (back 9, back 6, back 3, final hole).

  • Prizes:

    • Winner – 4Ball at Keighley Golf Club

    • Runner-up – 3 Hour Simulator Session

    • Closest-to-Pin prizes on every par 3

Atmosphere

  • Live Ryder Cup coverage on the big screen in the sim room.

  • Free pint or soft drink on arrival.

  • Play, cheer, and soak up the Ryder Cup buzz with friends.

  • £15 per head entry (includes drink)

  • Sessions last roughly 2 hours

Handicaps & Rules

    • Handicaps set at 25% of the combined total for each pair.

      • Example: Player 1 (8) + Player 2 (12) = 20 → 25% = 5 shots.

      • These 5 shots are allocated to the hardest holes at Bethpage Black (by stroke index).

    • Handicaps are reduced compared to traditional foursomes (normally 50%) because simulator golf is more forgiving – no lost balls, perfect lies, and no bad bounces.

    • Putting will be active with a 4ft gimme radius.
