Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter and become an important part of our family-run restaurant.

This is a hands-on role in a busy and lively kitchen, where no two shifts are the same. The role will include a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts, so flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends is essential. You’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and supporting the chefs throughout service.
Duties
· Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service
· Keeping the kitchen, washing-up area and equipment clean and tidy
· Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation when required
· Ensuring clean equipment, crockery and utensils are available when needed
· Emptying bins and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
· Helping with deliveries, stock movement and putting items away
· Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times
· Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient services
Experience
· Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
· A hardworking, reliable and positive attitude is more important than previous experience
· Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
· Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
· Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues
· Willingness to learn and take direction
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required
· Food hygiene experience is beneficial, but training will be provided
